Probate Attorney

A law firm seeks a skilled Probate Attorney to join its established legal team in the Charleston, South Carolina area. The ideal candidate will focus on probate administration, estate planning, and real estate matters, while also building strong client relationships and contributing to the firm's growth.

Duties

• Guide clients through probate administration processes.
• Identify and address probate-related concerns in real estate transactions.
• Conduct comprehensive legal research and provide actionable solutions.
• Assist clients in creating estate planning documents, including wills and powers of attorney.
• Draft and review estate planning documents with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Offer a professional and supportive experience for clients by addressing questions and concerns.
• Foster and expand business relationships to contribute to the firm’s success.
• Conduct educational sessions for potential clients on probate and estate planning topics.

Requirements

• Preferably, prior experience in probate law.
• Experience in estate planning or real estate law is also valued.
• An active member of the South Carolina State Bar in good standing.
• Familiarity with the Rules of Civil Procedure.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
