Entry Level Immigration Attorney

Location:

• Las Vegas, NV

Duties:

• Explain immigration concepts and provide strategic solutions to clients.
• Represent non-detained and detained individuals in removal proceedings before the Immigration Court and the Board of Immigration Appeals.
• Manage a caseload of immigration cases.
• Conduct intake and visit detained individuals at detention centers.
• Prepare various immigration applications, including removal defense and family-based petitions.
• Review and adjust immigration applications/packets as necessary.
• Collaborate with law enforcement, prosecutorial offices, and community organizations regarding changes in immigration law.
• Meet with potential clients to provide strategic immigration consultations and determine necessary strategies.
• Develop strategies and prepare clients and witnesses for court/USCIS testimony.
• Provide legal analysis to clients to identify potential case benefits.
• Prepare and submit legal briefs for a variety of immigration cases.

Requirements:

• 0-3 years of immigration law experience.
• Team player with the ability to collaborate, strategize, and work with fellow associates.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred, but not required.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills.
• Proven ability to manage a caseload and move legal cases forward.
• Experience with family-based petitions, humanitarian cases, EOIR, detained cases, citizenship, and other USCIS applications.
• Experience with case management software preferred.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Licensed to practice law in Nevada (or eligible to be licensed).
