Duties

  • Conduct detailed legal research, drafting, and analysis for various case matters.
  • Manage a high caseload, ensuring timely and effective legal and regulatory risk assessment.
  • Represent clients in court proceedings, including trial preparation and attendance at hearings across North Carolina.
  • Engage in negotiations with opposing counsel to resolve cases effectively.
  • Collaborate with the Managing Attorney to report progress, results, and case developments.

Requirements

  • Experience: 0-3 years in bankruptcy, collections, or civil litigation law, including court proceedings and associated regulations.
  • License: Active license to practice law in North Carolina; additional licenses in GA, SC, TN, FL, VA, MD, MI, or OH or UBE certification are a plus but not required.
  • Travel: Willingness to travel to various courts within North Carolina, as needed.

Education

  • Degree: Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Licensure: Active law license in North Carolina.
