Duties

• Manage a caseload and handle various immigration matters including asylum, adjustment of status applications, and immigration court proceedings.
• Conduct client intakes, collect information, and provide legal advice.
• Draft briefs, motions, applications, appeals, and filings related to immigration matters.
• Appear in immigration court for hearings and represent clients in asylum and adjustment interviews with immigration officers.
• Coordinate with support staff to ensure timely preparation and filing of documents.
• Maintain regular communication with clients, providing updates and legal advice.

Requirements

• Licensed to practice law in California.
• Proven experience in immigration law, including client representation in court and filings.
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills with the ability to manage a caseload independently.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to handle client intakes and provide clear legal counsel.
• Familiarity with immigration court proceedings, asylum, and adjustment interviews.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Active membership in the California State Bar.
