Duties:

• Handle mergers and acquisitions, offering legal counsel through complex transactions.
• Provide legal services to privately held businesses, guiding them through various legal frameworks.
• Review, draft, and analyze contracts to ensure compliance with applicable laws.
• Advise clients on capital raising efforts and ensure legal integrity in financing activities.
• Review and analyze loan documentation to ensure compliance and mitigate risks.
• Advise on corporate governance matters, including board structuring, compliance, and regulatory requirements.

Requirements:

• 4-10 years of experience in a law firm or similar legal setting.
• Expertise in handling corporate legal matters, including mergers and acquisitions, contracts, and capital raising.
• Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently while managing multiple clients and transactions.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
• Active membership in the North Carolina State Bar or the ability to become licensed in North Carolina.

Certifications:

• Licensed to practice law in North Carolina or eligibility for reciprocity.

Skills:

• In-depth understanding of corporate law, including mergers and acquisitions.
