A law firm based in New York City is seeking a talented Lateral Corporate - Renewable Energy Associate Attorney to join their team. The ideal candidate will have experience in renewable energy development, project finance, M&A transactions, and general corporate matters.

 

Job Overview:

  • Review, draft, and negotiate project contracts including O&M agreements, EPC contracts, management agreements, and offtake contracts.
  • Handle purchase and sale agreements and tax equity financing agreements.
  • Provide general corporate legal support.

 

Duties:

  • Review and draft project contracts related to renewable energy projects.
  • Negotiate project contracts with various stakeholders.
  • Assist in the negotiation of purchase and sale agreements.
  • Review and draft tax equity financing agreements.
  • Provide legal advice on general corporate matters related to renewable energy projects.

 

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the New York State Bar.
  • 4-7 years of experience representing developers, lenders, sponsors, and tax equity investors in renewable energy development, project finance, and M&A transactions.
  • Strong understanding of renewable energy industry regulations and practices.
  • Experience with project finance and M&A transactions.

 

Certifications:

Admission to the New York State Bar.
