Senior Litigation Attorney

Job Overview:
An established law firm is seeking a highly skilled Senior Litigation Attorney to join its team. The Senior Litigation Attorney will be responsible for managing a caseload of complex litigation matters, including commercial disputes, general liability, construction, catastrophic injury, and wrongful death claims. This role also includes a supervisory element, as the Senior Attorney will oversee and mentor a team of associates, helping them with their professional development. Location:

• Denver, Colorado

Duties:

• Manage a diverse caseload of litigation matters from start to finish, including commercial, contract, general liability, construction, catastrophic injury, and wrongful death claims.

• Develop and implement case strategy.

• Manage discovery processes, including coordinating with experts and handling law and motion practice.

• Take and defend depositions, conduct trial preparation, and participate in mediations.

• Interact with clients and opposing counsel to resolve issues.

• Supervise and mentor a team of associates, providing training, feedback, and guidance for professional development.

• Ensure successful case outcomes through effective legal advocacy and client-focused service.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of litigation experience, including general liability, construction, personal injury, and commercial disputes.

• Proven experience handling litigation cases independently, from developing strategy to trial preparation.

• 2+ years of supervisory experience, including overseeing associates and providing mentorship.

• Strong communication, advocacy, and client relationship skills.

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Active bar license in the jurisdiction in which the attorney will practice law, or eligibility for admission via reciprocity.

Skills:

• Extensive experience in litigation case management.

• Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills.

• Leadership abilities with experience supervising and mentoring junior attorneys.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
