Duties

• Provide legal counsel to clients regarding their rights and legal options

• Draft legal documents, including motions and briefs, relevant to criminal cases

• Represent clients at pretrial hearings, court appearances, and trials

• Conduct legal research and analyze case law to support defense strategies

• Interview witnesses and collaborate with experts to gather evidence

• Develop and manage case strategies in consultation with senior attorneys

• Prepare clients for depositions and hearings

• Advise clients post-hearing and provide clear guidance on next steps

• Evaluate case outcomes based on precedents and evidence

Requirements

• Experience managing criminal defense matters at the local, state, and federal levels

• Ability to work independently while contributing to a team-oriented environment

• Strong client service mindset with excellent interpersonal skills

• Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple active cases

Education

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an ABA-accredited law school

• Active member in good standing with the California State Bar
