Defense Litigation Associate Attorney

Job Overview: A law firm in Mission Viejo, CA, seeks a motivated Defense Litigation Associate Attorney to join their team. The ideal candidate will have experience handling complex civil litigation matters and possess strong analytical and writing skills. • Duties:

  • Manage a caseload involving complex defense litigation matters.
  • Draft pleadings, motions, and legal memoranda.
  • Conduct legal research and provide analysis of legal issues.
  • Prepare for and attend hearings, depositions, and trials.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, witnesses, and opposing counsel.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys on case strategy and development.

• Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Active license to practice law in California and good standing with the State Bar.
  • Experience in defense litigation, preferably in a law firm setting.
  • Strong knowledge of civil procedure and litigation practices.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Education and Certifications:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Active membership in the State Bar of California.
