Job Overview

A law firm seeks a dedicated and experienced Immigration Attorney to provide client-focused advocacy in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will work on a variety of cases, including family-based immigration, humanitarian relief, and removal proceedings, ensuring accurate and timely support to clients. Fluency in Spanish is essential for this role, which provides a meaningful opportunity to make a positive impact in clients’ lives.

Duties

  • Provide strategic advice to clients for the effective resolution of immigration cases.
  • Maintain consistent communication with clients throughout the legal process.
  • Review applications and petitions prepared by legal assistants to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Represent clients during USCIS interviews and other proceedings.
  • Review and prepare Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests.
  • Manage applications, case records, and necessary documentation according to established procedures.
  • Stay current with changes in immigration law and policies through regular research, webinars, and training.
  • Perform other relevant duties with minimal supervision.

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of experience practicing immigration law.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven ability to handle cases professionally and efficiently in a client-centered manner.
  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to learn and apply technical and legal knowledge.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Active bar license in good standing.

Skills

  • Fluent in both English and Spanish.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management abilities.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
