Job Location: Parsippany, NJ (Hybrid/Remote)

Job Overview:
A respected law firm in Parsippany, NJ, is looking to hire an experienced and motivated Defense Litigation Associate Attorney to join its personal injury defense litigation team. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of litigation experience, with a focus on civil defense cases. The role involves direct client contact and provides a balanced work schedule, with both full-time and part-time options available.

Duties:

• Represent clients in defense litigation matters, primarily in personal injury cases.
• Communicate directly with clients' in-house legal teams.
• Manage caseloads with autonomy, taking on significant responsibility.
• Participate in trial preparation, discovery, and motion practice.
• Draft legal documents including pleadings, motions, and settlement agreements.
• Collaborate with senior attorneys and participate in ongoing training.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior staff as necessary.

Requirements:

• At least 3 years of litigation experience, preferably in civil defense or tort defense.
• Strong writing and communication skills.
• Ability to handle cases independently while working as part of a team.
• Must be admitted to the New Jersey Bar and in good standing.
• Experience in trial work is a plus but not required.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• New Jersey Bar License in good standing.
