Mid-level Corporate and Business Transactions Associate

Job Overview:
A prestigious law firm is seeking to hire a qualified midlevel associate for its Corporate & Business Transactions practice group. The ideal candidate will have 4 to 5 years of law firm experience, particularly in M&A and Private Equity transactions. Duties:

• Manage and support M&A/Private Equity transactions, including drafting, reviewing, and negotiating transaction agreements.
• Provide legal counsel on corporate matters, ensuring compliance and accuracy in documentation.
• Conduct in-depth legal research and analysis related to corporate transactions.
• Assist senior attorneys in structuring and executing complex business deals.
• Review and prepare various corporate legal documents, including contracts and transaction documents.
• Develop and maintain client relationships through clear communication and effective legal support.
• Contribute to business development efforts and client outreach.

Requirements:

• 4 to 5 years of experience in M&A/Private Equity transactions at a law firm.
• Strong proficiency in drafting and negotiating complex transaction agreements.
• Experience in managing corporate transactions and providing strategic legal advice.
• Excellent organizational and analytical skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Active member of the bar in the state of the office location.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Active Bar Membership in the state of the office location.

You're destined for success and plenty of it at this awesome L.A. law firm. We cannot figure out why there is so much China scattered throughout this office. The last time we were by their offices, we felt like we should have wired Balducci's to send over a banquet so we could pull that China down from all the bookcases and have a delicious meal. In any event, we like the attorneys here. There is a real folksy feel to them, they are very efficient and all have well-rounded personalities (for the most part). This place knows it's a law firm and the attorneys all take their work and experience there pretty seriously. This is a branch office of a large international law firm. The attorneys working here all seem to give off the air, and have the confidence, that they are working as part of a law firm of substance that is destined for great things. Attorneys we have practiced with from this firm all impressed us when we were in private practice because they appear to have a very good command of their work and quickly assume a leadership role in the cases they are working on. These are the types of lawyers who frequently give co-counsel and opposing counsel notes and little articles about an area of law they enjoy. These are also attorneys who somehow consistently manage to get themseleves involved in the community in many forms. This is a great law firm.
