A law firm in Chicago is seeking a Real Estate Associate Attorney with 4+ years of experience in commercial real estate law. The ideal candidate will have transactional experience in real estate transactions, leasing, lending, development, and zoning. This role requires superior communication skills, strong analytical abilities, and exceptional organizational skills. A Missouri, Illinois, and/or Ohio law license is required.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide legal counsel and representation in commercial real estate transactions, including leasing, lending, development, and zoning matters.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate real estate contracts, leases, purchase agreements, and related legal documents.
  • Conduct due diligence, including reviewing title reports, surveys, and environmental reports.
  • Advise clients on legal and regulatory issues related to real estate transactions and development projects.
  • Collaborate with clients, real estate agents, brokers, and other stakeholders to facilitate transactions.
  • Prepare and file necessary legal documents with government agencies and other entities.
  • Manage multiple cases and deadlines effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Participate in meetings and negotiations with clients and other parties involved in real estate transactions.
  • Maintain confidentiality of all client and case information.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience in commercial real estate law within a law firm setting.
  • Transactional experience in commercial real estate transactions, leasing, lending, development, and zoning.
  • Missouri, Illinois, and/or Ohio law license required.
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Outstanding organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines effectively.

Education and Certifications

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Active law license in Missouri, Illinois, and/or Ohio.
