Duties:

• Provide legal counsel on a range of immigration matters and devise strategic solutions.
• Represent clients in removal proceedings before the Immigration Court and Board of Immigration Appeals, both for non-detained and detained individuals.
• Oversee a diverse caseload, ensuring timely and accurate case management.
• Conduct intakes with detained individuals at detention centers.
• Prepare and submit various immigration applications, including removal defense and family-based immigration petitions.
• Review and revise immigration applications to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Collaborate with law enforcement, prosecutorial offices, and community organizations to stay informed on immigration law updates.
• Conduct strategic consultations with potential clients and advise on the best course of action.
• Develop case strategies and prepare clients and witnesses for court and USCIS hearings.
• Analyze legal issues to determine case benefits and develop effective legal arguments.
• Draft legal briefs and other documentation in support of immigration cases.

Requirements:

• 1-4 years of experience in Immigration Law.
• Proven ability to manage a caseload efficiently and meet deadlines.
• Strong communication skills and interpersonal abilities.
• Experience with Family-Based Petitions, Humanitarian Relief, EOIR, Detained Cases, Citizenship, and USCIS applications.
• Knowledge of Case Management Software is a plus.
• Fluency in English; bilingual candidates (English/Spanish) are preferred.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
• Must be licensed to practice law in the state of Texas.

Certifications:

• Admission to the Texas Bar is required.
