Mid-level Associate or Of Counsel Attorney

A law firm seeks a motivated and experienced Mid-level Associate or Of Counsel Attorney to join its growing team in Mineola, NY. Duties:

• Draft motions, legal briefs, and other necessary litigation documents.
• Conduct depositions and trials, or prepare attorneys and clients for these proceedings.
• Perform legal research to support case development and strategies.
• Review and analyze documents related to ongoing cases.
• Represent clients in court, focusing on Long Island, NYC, or Westchester jurisdictions.
• Maintain organized case files and manage case progression effectively.
• Collaborate with senior attorneys and clients to resolve legal issues efficiently.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the New York State Bar.
• 5-7 years of experience in litigation, particularly in business law.
• Strong research, writing, and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage a caseload and work independently or collaboratively with the team.
• Experience with depositions, trial preparation, and court appearances.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Admission to the New York State Bar is required.
