Job Overview:
A law firm in the Inland Empire area is looking to expand its team with a dedicated Associate Attorney specializing in Special Education and Student Services. This position offers an excellent opportunity for attorneys interested in making a meaningful impact within the education sector, specifically focusing on K-12 schools and community colleges. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting clients with various legal matters, including individualized education programs (IEPs), compliance issues, and workshops, all in a non-litigation environment.

Duties:

  • Assist educational institutions in the development and review of individualized education programs (IEPs).
  • Present workshops and training sessions to school staff and administrators.
  • Review, revise, and help implement policies and procedures related to special education services.
  • Provide legal support regarding state and federal compliance issues.
  • Respond to administrative due process hearings and state or federal complaints.
  • Foster and maintain client relationships with K-12 schools and community colleges.

Requirements:

  • At least 2 years of legal practice experience in relevant areas (special education, student services, or education law).
  • Strong research, writing, and analytical skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active membership in the California State Bar.

Skills:
