Duties

• Handle patent prosecution matters
• Draft and file patent applications
• Respond to office actions from the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office
• Collaborate with clients to understand their technological innovations
• Provide strategic advice on intellectual property matters

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a patent associate 
• USPTO registration number required
• Admission to the Bar in the jurisdiction where the work will be performed
• Strong academic credentials and interpersonal skills

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, computer science, data science, physics, or a related field
• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications

• Active membership (or eligibility for membership) in the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office
