Job Overview:
A reputable law firm in Tampa, FL is seeking an experienced and skilled Litigation Associate Attorney. The ideal candidate will bring 5+ years of civil litigation experience, with a focus on construction defects, general insurance defense, and first-party property litigation. This opportunity allows for a hybrid work environment, offering flexibility while engaging in varied and challenging legal work. The attorney will be expected to manage cases through all stages of litigation, from legal research to trial preparation.

Duties:

  • Handle cases from inception to resolution, including motion practice, hearings, and depositions.
  • Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and discovery requests.
  • Represent clients in court and at depositions, showcasing exceptional advocacy skills.
  • Provide thorough legal research and analysis to support case strategies.
  • Collaborate with team members to strategize and execute defense plans.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of laws, legal precedents, and industry best practices.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, providing regular updates on case progress.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in civil litigation.
  • Experience in construction defect, general insurance defense, and first-party property litigation preferred.
  • Strong legal research, writing, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines effectively.
  • Experience with litigation matters through all phases, from filing to trial preparation.
  • Trial experience is a plus, but not required.

Education:

  • J.D. from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Must hold a valid and active Bar license in the state of Florida.
