Job Overview:
A prestigious law firm is seeking a Senior Immigration Attorney to join their team. This position offers an excellent opportunity to work with a skilled group of legal professionals in a firm that values growth and collaboration. The role involves managing a diverse caseload, representing clients in removal proceedings, and offering strategic immigration counsel.

Duties:

  • Explain complex immigration concepts and present tailored strategic solutions to clients.
  • Represent clients in both detained and non-detained cases during removal proceedings before the Immigration Court and Board of Immigration Appeals.
  • Manage a full caseload efficiently, ensuring timely progress on all cases.
  • Conduct intake interviews with detained individuals at immigration centers.
  • Prepare a variety of immigration applications, including removal defense and family-based petitions.
  • Review and revise immigration applications and supporting documentation for accuracy.
  • Collaborate with law enforcement, government agencies, and community organizations on changes to immigration law.
  • Meet with potential clients to provide strategic consultations and develop case strategies.
  • Prepare clients and witnesses for testimony in court and before USCIS.
  • Provide in-depth legal analysis to determine potential benefits and options for clients.
  • Draft and submit legal briefs for various immigration cases.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5-8 years of experience in immigration law.
  • Proven ability to manage and move cases forward with efficiency and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, collaborating with other attorneys and legal assistants.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
  • Experience with Family-Based Petitions, Humanitarian Relief, EOIR procedures, Detained Cases, Citizenship, and USCIS applications.
  • Familiarity with case management software is a plus.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active Arizona Bar admission in good standing with the state of practice.

Skills:

  • Strong legal research and writing skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple cases and prioritize effectively.
  • Exceptional client management skills with a focus on building lasting relationships.
  • Knowledge of current immigration law and policy changes.
