Job Overview:
A reputable law firm in Miami, FL is seeking a skilled and motivated Associate Attorney to join its litigation team. This full-time, in-person position offers the opportunity to work on a variety of practice areas, including insurance litigation, property damage claims, personal injury, wrongful death, and criminal defense. The successful candidate will be given significant responsibility, with immediate involvement in litigation matters and the chance to work collaboratively with experienced attorneys to develop case strategies.

Location:

  • Miami, FL

Duties:

  • Provide legal counsel and representation in insurance litigation, property damage claims, personal injury, wrongful death, and criminal defense matters
  • Manage all phases of litigation, from pre-trial discovery to trial
  • Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and discovery responses
  • Conduct legal research and assist in case preparation
  • Represent clients in court hearings, trials, and settlement negotiations
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys on case strategies and client communications
  • Work in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment

Requirements:

  • JD from an accredited law school with excellent academic credentials
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of insurance litigation experience
  • Current Florida Bar admission (Required) or ability to obtain admission
  • Understanding of current state and federal procedures
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Fluency in Spanish (Required)
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to excellence
  • Ability to multitask and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong organizational and project management skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Florida Bar Admission (Required)

Skills:

  • Litigation experience, including insurance and personal injury cases
  • Strong time management and organizational skills
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in Spanish
  • Collaborative and team-oriented approach to casework
