Insurance and Reinsurance Career Attorney

A law firm in Raleigh, NC is seeking a talented Insurance and Reinsurance Career Attorney with a strong understanding of insurance coverage issues, including professional liability, general liability, and directors and officers insurance policies. The successful candidate will bring 2-5 years of experience in insurance coverage and commercial litigation, supported by excellent academic credentials and superior research and writing skills.

Duties:

• Provide legal counsel on complex insurance coverage issues, including professional liability, general liability, and directors and officers insurance.
• Analyze and interpret insurance policies and coverage matters to formulate effective legal strategies.
• Draft, review, and negotiate insurance contracts, policies, and related documentation.
• Represent clients in insurance-related disputes through litigation, arbitration, and mediation.
• Conduct detailed legal research and prepare comprehensive analyses on insurance and reinsurance issues.
• Develop and implement case strategies to achieve favorable outcomes for clients.
• Collaborate with clients, experts, and internal teams to address insurance claims and coverage disputes.
• Stay current with developments in insurance law, regulatory changes, and industry trends.
• Prepare and argue legal motions, briefs, and other documents in court and other legal proceedings.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the North Carolina State Bar or eligibility to obtain admission.
• 2-5 years of experience in insurance coverage and commercial litigation.
• Demonstrated understanding of insurance coverage issues, including professional liability, general liability, and directors and officers insurance.
• Proven experience handling insurance coverage disputes and litigation.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Admission to the North Carolina State Bar or eligibility to obtain admission.
