Insurance Coverage Associate

Job Overview:

A well-established law firm is seeking an Insurance Coverage Associate with 3+ years of experience to join its Liability & Excess Coverage team in Morristown, NJ. This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney with experience in insurance coverage or litigation to work on complex insurance coverage matters involving product liability, pollution, environmental issues, asbestos, talc, and property liability. The successful candidate will work alongside highly respected and talented attorneys, contributing to high-profile cases and delivering exceptional outcomes for clients.

Location:

• Morristown, New Jersey

Duties:

• Analyze insurance policies and draft coverage opinions for clients.
• Provide coverage advice on complex insurance matters.
• Conduct legal research, analyze findings, and draft legal memoranda.
• Prepare and review pleadings, motions, discovery, briefs, and other legal correspondence.
• Engage in formal correspondence with opposing counsel and other parties.
• Attend depositions, hearings, and mediations as required.

Requirements:

• At least 3 years of experience in insurance coverage or litigation.
• Admitted to practice law in New Jersey (additional state admissions are a plus).
• Experience or interest in working on complex insurance coverage matters.
• Strong legal research, writing, and verbal communication skills.
• Exceptional attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Admission to practice law in New Jersey (required).
• Additional state bar admissions are a plus.
