Job Overview:

A law firm based in Washington, DC, is seeking an experienced Associate Attorney with 2-5 years of experience to join their team. The ideal candidate will manage and litigate their caseload efficiently and effectively. Strong organizational skills and the ability to multi-task are essential for success in this role.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage and litigate a diverse caseload provided by the firm.
  • Represent clients in court proceedings, negotiations, and other legal matters.
  • Prepare and draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs.
  • Conduct legal research and provide sound legal advice to clients and colleagues.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys and support staff to ensure effective case management.
  • Attend client meetings, depositions, and other legal proceedings as required.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant laws and legal procedures.
  • Manage case files and ensure all necessary documentation is completed accurately and on time.
  • Communicate regularly with clients to update them on case progress and address any concerns.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the DC Bar is required.
  • 2-5 years of experience in litigation and case management.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Detail-oriented with a high level of professionalism and ethical standards.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Admission to the DC Bar.

  • Strong litigation and case management skills.
