Duties and Responsibilities

  • Advise high-net-worth clients on estate planning, trusts, and estate administration matters.
  • Develop and implement tax-efficient wealth transfer strategies tailored to clients’ needs.
  • Draft and review complex estate planning documents, including wills, trusts, and related financial documents.
  • Handle business succession planning and asset protection strategies.
  • Provide guidance on minimizing income tax, gift tax, and estate tax consequences.
  • Manage multiple estate planning matters independently and proactively.
  • Collaborate with clients, their families, and their advisors to achieve optimal outcomes.
  • Keep current with developments in estate planning and tax law.

Requirements

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Membership in good standing with the Massachusetts Bar.
  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience in estate planning, trusts and estates administration, and estate and gift tax planning.
  • Extensive experience in drafting and reviewing core and complex estate planning and financial documents.
  • Prior experience at a regional or national law firm or a well-regarded local firm.

Preferred Qualifications

  • LL.M. in Taxation.

  • Strong understanding of tax-efficient wealth transfer strategies.
