Job Overview: A law firm in Everett, WA, is seeking a Senior Family Law Attorney I with a successful mediation and trial experience track record. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication and advocacy skills and the ability to manage a busy schedule and meet production objectives.

Duties:

  • Conducting research and analysis on complex legal issues
  • Writing memorandums, briefs, letters, and other legal documents
  • Marketing the attorney's and firm's services to prospective clients
  • Performing discovery of electronically stored data and hard copies of information for litigation
  • Conducting due diligence in all legal matters
  • Managing a schedule to allow for consultations and closure of consultations to meet production objectives
  • Closing consultations within the firm's range of 30-50%, depending on the practice area
  • Timely approval of invoices to maintain financial health
  • Ensuring support staff are fully utilized and productive
  • Updating case management system with fees, engagement, trust, client information, invoices, etc.
  • Actively engaging in personal and firm brand expansion through blogs, social media posts, board, and organization participation
  • Seeking positive comments and reviews from successful client engagements
  • Performing other job-related duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of law practice experience
  • Successful record of mediation experience
  • Significant and successful trial experience
  • Strong communication and advocacy skills, including empathetic listening
  • Excellent writing and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent legal research skills
  • Juris Doctor degree from an American Bar Association-accredited law school
  • Admission (or eligibility for reciprocal admission) to WA Bar
