Duties

• Represent clients in construction defect litigation cases on the defense side.
• Draft and respond to discovery and initial pleadings.
• Prepare and argue motions in court.
• Conduct depositions and take part in hearings.
• Manage case files, and prioritize multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Collaborate with team members to strategize case approaches and legal arguments.
• Provide clear and effective written and verbal communication with clients and colleagues.
• Maintain adherence to billable hour targets and deadlines.

Requirements

• Must be an active member of the California State Bar.
• Experience in construction defect litigation (defense side) is required.
• Strong analytical, writing, and research skills.
• Ability to handle a high volume of cases and manage competing deadlines.
• Self-starter with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Comfortable with court appearances, depositions, and legal writing tasks.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Active membership in the California State Bar.
