A law firm seeks a detail-oriented and dedicated Immigration Attorney with a focus on consular processing to join its team in Dallas, TX. This role involves managing consular processing and waiver cases, preparing clients for interviews, and collaborating with a team of legal professionals to deliver exceptional service. The ideal candidate will have experience in immigration law, a strong understanding of consular procedures, and a commitment to advocating for clients’ rights in complex immigration matters.

Duties

  • Oversee and manage a caseload of consular processing and waiver cases, including I-130, I-601A, I-601, I-212, consular processing, and K-Visa applications.
  • Prepare clients for consular interviews, ensuring they are well-informed and confident in presenting their cases.
  • Represent clients in matters before the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS).
  • Review and finalize immigration application packets prepared by the legal team.
  • Lead and manage a team of paralegals, ensuring productivity goals and client expectations are met.
  • Conduct comprehensive legal analyses to determine case benefits and strategies for clients.
  • Draft and submit legal briefs for a range of immigration cases.

Requirements

  • Experience:

    • 1–4 years of professional experience in immigration law, specifically in consular processing and waiver applications.
    • Proven track record of progressing legal cases efficiently and effectively.
  • Skills:

    • Strong organizational and caseload management capabilities.
    • Exceptional ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
    • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is preferred but not mandatory.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Active membership in good standing with the Bar of any U.S. jurisdiction.

Skills

  • Familiarity with consular processing procedures, waivers, and related immigration applications.
  • Experience using legal case management software is preferred.
  • Ability to analyze complex legal issues and communicate effectively with clients and team members.
  • High level of attention to detail and commitment to delivering quality legal services.
