The ideal candidate will have a strong background in prosecuting and/or defending construction claims, contract drafting and negotiation, and evaluating risks in the construction industry. Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage and litigate construction claims, representing clients in various forums including mediation, arbitration, and litigation.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate construction contracts, subcontracts, and related agreements.
  • Provide counsel to clients on construction-related legal issues, including risk assessment and mitigation strategies.
  • Conduct legal research on construction law matters and prepare legal memoranda.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys and partners on complex construction projects and disputes.
  • Advise clients on compliance with construction laws, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Participate in client consultations and effectively communicate legal strategies and advice.
  • Assist in business development activities, including client presentations and relationship management.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the Alabama State Bar or eligibility for admission by motion.
  • 2+ years of experience in construction law, with a focus on claims, contracts, and risk evaluation.
  • Experience in insurance, commercial litigation, products liability, or related fields is beneficial.
  • Superior academic credentials from a top-tier law school.
