A law firm seeks an Associate Litigation Attorney to join its Oklahoma City office. This position is ideal for a skilled attorney with a background in family law, employment law, and/or criminal law. The role involves managing cases from start to finish, representing clients in court, and providing strategic legal advice.

Duties:

  • Represent clients in litigation matters across family law, employment law, and criminal law cases.
  • Conduct comprehensive legal research and draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs.
  • Develop and implement case strategies based on case facts and applicable laws.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, providing case updates and explaining legal options.
  • Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients when suitable.
  • Collaborate with attorneys and support staff to ensure effective case management.
  • Appear in court for hearings, trials, and other legal proceedings.
  • Maintain organized case files and documentation in compliance with legal standards.

Requirements:

  • Strong knowledge of family law, employment law, and/or criminal law, or a willingness to manage a high-volume caseload in these areas.
  • Proficient in legal research and analysis.
  • Excellent written communication skills for drafting legal documents.
  • Strong analytical skills to assess complex legal issues and devise effective strategies.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and persuasively with clients, colleagues, and court officials.
  • Detail-oriented with robust organizational skills to manage multiple cases simultaneously.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Licensed to practice law in Oklahoma.

Skills:

  • Proficiency in legal research using various resources.
  • Strong legal writing and drafting abilities.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Organizational skills for efficient case management in a fast-paced environment.
