Job Overview: A law firm is seeking a skilled Bankruptcy Attorney to represent secured creditors in consumer bankruptcy cases, including Chapter 7, 11, and 13. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience and be well-versed in the Bankruptcy Code and Federal Rules of Bankruptcy Procedure. While experience is preferred, the firm is open to training a dedicated candidate with less experience. This role offers the opportunity to manage routine bankruptcy matters and work with clients, opposing counsel, and the Court to resolve issues.

Duties:
Manage and oversee routine bankruptcy matters, including Chapter 7, 11, and 13 cases
Draft and review all pleadings and claims associated with bankruptcy cases
Attend scheduled hearings and represent clients in bankruptcy court
Respond to general bankruptcy inquiries within the firm
Review bankruptcy filings on behalf of clients to ensure accuracy
Monitor all electronic filings (ECFs) for relevant updates
Resolve routine bankruptcy issues such as Motions for Relief, Objections to Confirmation, Proofs of Claim, and other matters
Maintain regular communication with clients, opposing counsel, and the Court
Requirements:
2+ years of experience in bankruptcy law or willingness to learn
In-depth knowledge of the Bankruptcy Code, Federal Rules of Bankruptcy Procedure, and creditor rights laws
Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
Education:
Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
Certifications:
Active bar license in North Carolina or Tennessee
Admission to Bankruptcy Courts in North Carolina or Tennessee
Skills:
Expertise in bankruptcy laws and creditor rights
Proficiency in bankruptcy software and Microsoft Office applications
Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills
Effective time management and organizational skills
