Bankruptcy, Workout, and Restructuring Attorney

A law firm seeks a mid to senior-level attorney with 4–8 years of experience to join its Bankruptcy, Workout, and Restructuring practice group. This position offers an opportunity to work on diverse financial restructuring matters and bankruptcy proceedings, supporting clients through complex legal and business challenges.

Duties

• Represent lenders, financial institutions, and other finance parties in loan workouts and restructuring negotiations.
• Provide legal counsel to debtors, creditors, and official committees in bankruptcy cases.
• Manage business bankruptcy matters, including Chapter 11 proceedings and related litigation.
• Conduct legal research and draft motions, pleadings, and other court submissions with precision and clarity.
• Collaborate with a team to develop innovative solutions for restructuring and workout scenarios.
• Work directly with clients to strategize and implement effective approaches to financial recovery.

Requirements

• 4–8 years of experience handling bankruptcy, workout, and restructuring matters.
• Proven ability to represent diverse parties in bankruptcy and restructuring cases, including creditors and debtors.
• Demonstrated capacity to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Active admission to the state bar where the firm operates.
