A law firm seeks an experienced Associate Attorney for its Civil Litigation and Construction practice in Portland, OR. This position offers the opportunity to handle a diverse caseload that includes construction law, personal injury, general liability, and business litigation. The ideal candidate will have at least two years of civil litigation experience, strong analytical and writing skills, and membership in the Oregon State Bar.

Duties:

  • Manage and litigate cases related to construction law, personal injury, general liability, and business disputes
  • Provide legal advice and counsel to clients on various construction-related matters, including contract disputes, construction defects, and regulatory compliance
  • Represent clients in court, arbitration, and mediation
  • Draft and review legal documents, including contracts, pleadings, and settlement agreements
  • Work closely with senior attorneys to strategize and develop case approaches
  • Conduct legal research and stay up-to-date on developments in construction law
  • Collaborate with other practice areas to ensure comprehensive legal support for clients
  • Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and experts

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 2 years of civil litigation experience
  • Membership in the Oregon State Bar
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong analytical abilities and attention to detail
  • Proven ability to handle multiple cases and meet deadlines
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Active membership in the Oregon State Bar or eligibility to become a member
