This is an excellent opportunity to work on high-profile cases in a dynamic team environment, serving major clients across multiple sectors.

Duties:

  • Assist in managing IP litigation cases, including patent, trademark, and trade secret disputes.
  • Draft and review legal documents such as pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and settlement agreements.
  • Conduct legal research on complex IP issues and provide strategic advice to senior attorneys and clients.
  • Participate in depositions, hearings, and trials.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop case strategies and handle various aspects of IP litigation.
  • Oversee document review and discovery processes, ensuring compliance with legal procedures.
  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships, offering timely and practical legal advice.
  • Stay current with developments in intellectual property law, contributing to the firm's thought leadership.

Requirements:

  • 1-5 years of experience in intellectual property disputes, with a focus on patent or trademark litigation.
  • Technical background in electrical engineering, computer science, or a related discipline is preferred.
  • Active membership in the bar of the state where the position is located.

Benefits:

  • Competitive base salary based on experience and location.
  • Performance-based annual bonuses.

  • 401(k) plan with firm matching contributions.
  • Generous paid time off, including vacation, personal days, and sick leave.
  • Paid holidays and paid parental leave.
  • Paid pregnancy disability leave.
  • Eligibility for annual discretionary bonuses.
  • Clerkship bonus eligibility for applicants completing judicial clerkships.
  • Employee Assistance Program, wellness programs, and work-life balance support.
  • Commuter benefits and childcare assistance programs.
  • Opportunity to work with leading clients on high-profile IP cases in a collaborative environment.

One of DC's most powerful firms is this one. Truly an international giant in every sense of the word, business and finance, M&A, labor law and litigation reign supreme here although the IP practice is coming into its own also. Like many other large firms attrition is high at times, but overall the associates here are well-credentialed and well paid. In DC, this firm's litigation section, especially with respect to technology and intellectual property disputes, tops the list in terms of prestige. However, this is one of the few firms that virtually guarantees great work and top-notch training, regardless of the practice area.

Your information will not be forwarded to any employers at this time. A recruiter will contact you with more information once our internal review of your resume is completed.
