The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and litigating workers' compensation claims, performing legal research, and drafting essential legal documents. Duties:

  • Conduct file reviews and perform legal analysis of workers' compensation claims and causes of action.
  • Engage in extensive legal research and draft various legal documents, including client correspondence, discovery devices, summations, appeals, and appellate briefs.
  • Represent clients regularly at depositions and hearings.
  • Prepare for and attend trials, developing strategies and presenting evidence.
  • Manage expert witness retention and evaluation.
  • Achieve an annual billable hour requirement of 1950 hours.
  • Respond promptly to emails and phone inquiries from clients and colleagues.
  • Demonstrate excellent client interaction skills and maintain a professional telephone manner.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an ABA-approved law school.
  • Admitted to practice in the state of New Jersey; admission in other states is a plus.
  • Minimum of 2+ years of experience in workers' compensation law; experience in other practice areas is a plus.
  • Exceptional writing, research, and litigation skills.
  • Superior analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong research skills and effective written and oral communication.
  • Demonstrated strong work ethic, ability to self-manage, and work effectively in a team environment.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an ABA-approved law school.

Certifications:

  • Admitted to practice law in New Jersey; additional state admissions are advantageous.
