Job Overview: A distinguished law firm is seeking a skilled Commercial Litigation Associate Attorney to join its Roseland, NJ office. The ideal candidate will have over 5 years of experience in managing complex commercial litigation matters, both independently and in support of senior counsel. This role requires admission to the New Jersey and New York Bars and involves active participation in all phases of litigation. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong analytical skills, commercial acumen, and a commitment to providing strategic legal guidance.

Location:

  • Roseland, New Jersey

Duties:

  • Manage a diverse caseload of complex commercial litigation matters from inception to resolution.
  • Conduct comprehensive legal research to support senior counsel and the litigation process.
  • Draft and prepare legal documents, including pleadings, motions, briefs, and Orders to Show Cause.
  • Represent clients in various court proceedings, including hearings, trials, arbitrations, and appeals.
  • Prepare for and attend depositions.
  • Communicate effectively with courts, clients, and adversaries throughout the litigation process.
  • Stay informed on legal developments, industry trends, and best practices to provide the highest level of legal representation.

Requirements:

  • Bar admission in both New Jersey and New York.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial litigation, with a focus on handling sophisticated cases.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and document management-based software.
  • Knowledge of electronic digital documentation and e-discovery matters.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active Bar membership in New Jersey and New York.

Skills:

  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and writing abilities.
