Duties:

  • Handle complex litigation cases, including construction disputes, contract issues, personal injury, premises liability, and related matters.
  • Conduct thorough legal research and draft high-quality legal documents, including motions, pleadings, and briefs.
  • Take depositions and present oral arguments in court as needed.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys and partners on case strategies, ensuring the best outcomes for clients.
  • Manage client relationships, offering strategic legal advice and ensuring excellent client service.
  • Participate actively in trials, mediations, and arbitrations as required.
  • Contribute to the firm's growth by taking on leadership roles and fostering client relationships.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 3 years of litigation experience in civil litigation, construction law, personal injury, or insurance defense.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in legal research and writing, with strong analytical skills.
  • Confidence in taking depositions and presenting oral arguments in court.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and handle multiple cases effectively.
  • A collaborative mindset, with the ability to work cooperatively with partners, legal assistants, and paralegals.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Admission to the Oregon State Bar Association (active and in good standing).

Skills:

  • Strong legal research and writing abilities.
  • Strategic thinking and case management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Familiarity with case management systems is a plus.
