Job Overview: A leading law firm in Washington, D.C. is seeking a highly motivated Antitrust and Trade Regulation Associate Attorney to join its nationally recognized Antitrust Group. The position focuses on representing clients in civil antitrust litigation, merger investigations, and agency inquiries. The successful candidate will bring a strong commitment to legal excellence, a passion for antitrust law, and the ability to deliver exceptional legal counsel.

Location:

  • Washington, D.C.

Duties:

  • Represent clients in civil antitrust litigation, merger investigations (FTC/DOJ), and other agency investigations.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis, drafting briefs, memos, and relevant legal documents.
  • Participate in and lead written discovery, depositions, and trial preparation.
  • Conduct witness interviews, attend client meetings, and engage in negotiations.
  • Review mergers and acquisitions for compliance with antitrust laws and regulations.
  • Provide high-quality work products and maintain effective communication with clients and colleagues.
  • Exhibit problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to counseling clients.
  • Continuously improve knowledge and skills through formal and informal training.
  • Build strong relationships with clients and develop long-term business opportunities.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in antitrust litigation at a law firm or government agency.
  • Healthcare antitrust experience preferred.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines.
  • Strong interpersonal, analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to travel as needed for client engagements.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Licensed attorney in good standing with the Bar in Michigan, Illinois, or Washington, D.C., or the ability to waive into one of these jurisdictions.

Skills:

  • Expertise in antitrust law, with experience in litigation and regulatory investigations.
  • Strong legal research, writing, and analysis capabilities.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work both independently and within a team.
