Litigation Associate Attorney

Job Overview: A law firm in Hartford, CT, is seeking a dedicated Litigation Associate Attorney to join their team. The ideal candidate will represent clients in civil litigation, manage case responsibilities from inception through resolution, and provide high-quality legal services.

Job Duties:

• Appear on behalf of clients in court to argue motions and handle court conferences, status conferences, and other substantive and procedural matters in civil litigation.
• Engage in direct client interactions to develop and maintain strong client relationships.
• Draft motions, briefs, pleadings, written discovery, legal documents, correspondence, memoranda, and conduct legal research as necessary.
• Analyze complex factual and legal issues and recommend appropriate mitigation strategies.
• Draft, negotiate, and execute legal documents as required.

Requirements:

• Admission to the Connecticut Bar and in good standing.
• Minimum 2 years of litigation experience, preferably handling civil matters.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and accommodate urgent requests.

Education and Certifications:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
• Certification in Litigation or relevant field preferred.

Skills:

• Strong oral advocacy and courtroom presentation skills.
• Excellent written communication and legal drafting abilities.
• Proficiency in legal research and analysis.
