  • Visit detained clients and assess available relief options for those in detention.
  • Prepare various immigration-related submissions, including deportation defenses, waivers, and visa adjustment applications.
  • Coordinate and organize case paperwork such as affidavits, petitions, and applications.
  • Maintain a strict calendar, ensuring deadlines are met and tasks are prioritized.
  • Assist senior attorneys with legal tasks and case management.
  • Handle cases related to deportation defense, visa adjustments, and citizenship applications.

Requirements:

  • 1-3 years of experience practicing immigration law, including experience with Immigration Court proceedings.
  • Strong legal research and writing skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management abilities, with high attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to engage effectively with clients and colleagues.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate with a team.
  • Willingness to relocate to White Plains, NY, if not already residing in the area.
  • Candidates pending admission to the bar will be considered.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active bar membership in good standing (candidates pending bar admission may also be considered).
