Job Details:

  • Serve as a key member of deal teams, taking charge of fundamental aspects of transactions.
  • Conduct thorough due diligence processes to ensure legal compliance and risk mitigation.
  • Handle negotiation and drafting of transactional documents, agreements, and contracts.
  • Collaborate closely with clients, providing legal counsel and strategic guidance throughout transactions.
  • Represent borrowers, lenders, and/or agents in various finance transactions.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, regulations, and best practices related to finance law.
  • Assist in the mentoring and supervision of junior associates and legal staff.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Law or a related field from an accredited institution.
  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • 4-7 years of experience in complex finance transactions, preferably focusing on sponsor-backed leveraged finance.
  • Licensed to practice law in VI and in good standing.
  • Proven track record of successful deal management and client representation.

Certifications:

  • State Bar admission in VI.
