A law firm located in Boston, MA is seeking a Technology Transactions (IT) Associate Attorney with 3-6 years of experience. The successful candidate will join the firm's national practice group, focusing on intellectual property and commercial transactions for technology companies. This role involves structuring, drafting, and negotiating a range of agreements, including license, service, development, distribution, and partnering agreements. Additionally, the candidate will handle intellectual property aspects of mergers and acquisitions, public offerings, financings, and other multidisciplinary transactions. A strong interest in technology companies and a technical or science background are beneficial. The position requires superior academic credentials, as well as excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.

Duties:

  • Structure, draft, and negotiate a variety of intellectual property and commercial transactions, including license, service, development, distribution, and partnering agreements.
  • Manage intellectual property aspects of mergers and acquisitions, public offerings, financings, and other multidisciplinary transactions.
  • Provide legal counsel on intellectual property issues related to technology companies and their commercial transactions.
  • Advise clients on regulatory compliance and best practices in intellectual property and technology transactions.
  • Collaborate with clients and internal teams to address complex legal and business matters.
  • Stay informed about developments in technology law and intellectual property regulations.

Requirements:

  • 3-6 years of experience in intellectual property and commercial transactions.
  • Strong interest in technology companies and experience supporting technology-related transactions.
  • Experience in structuring, drafting, and negotiating various agreements.
  • Technical or science background is beneficial.
  • Proven ability to handle complex intellectual property and commercial transaction issues.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Admission to the bar in Massachusetts (or eligibility for admission).
