Job Overview

A prestigious law firm is seeking an experienced International Employment Attorney to join its dynamic Employment Group. This non-partnership track position is ideal for an attorney with 5+ years of experience in employment law, with an emphasis on cross-border and global employment issues. The role involves advising on employment aspects of corporate transactions, drafting and negotiating complex employment agreements, and providing strategic counsel on employee mobility and terminations. The successful candidate will collaborate with colleagues across multiple offices and engage in a variety of international employment matters.

Duties

  • Advise on employment aspects of corporate transactions, including employment diligence.
  • Draft and negotiate employment, retention, and related agreements.
  • Provide counsel on reductions in force, employee terminations, and workforce management strategies.
  • Advise on restrictive covenants, non-compete clauses, and employee mobility issues.
  • Provide strategic counsel to emerging companies on various aspects of employment law.
  • Collaborate with other offices within the firm on global employment matters.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in employment counseling, with both domestic and international expertise preferred.
  • Experience in advising on corporate transactions, employee terminations, and restrictive covenants.
  • Strong experience in drafting and negotiating employment-related agreements.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex legal matters in a fast-paced, international environment.
  • Proven ability to handle cross-border legal issues and work with global clients and teams.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an ABA-accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Active license to practice law in the jurisdiction in which the candidate is applying.
