Job Overview: A law firm specializing in corporate law seeks a Corporate Associate Attorney to join their team in Dallas, TX. The role involves collaborating closely with a dedicated team focused on Real Estate Investment Trusts (REITs) and other real estate investment matters. The Corporate Associate Attorney will be crucial in handling complex transactional matters, including acquisitions, dispositions, joint ventures, and financings.

Duties:

  • Draft, review, and negotiate various transactional documents under supervision.
  • Conduct diligence reviews to identify potential legal risks.
  • Structure joint ventures and strategic investments.
  • Coordinate and manage deal closings.
  • Manage ongoing legal issues related to corporate transactions.
  • Collaborate with third-party vendors to coordinate transactions (preferred).

Requirements:

  • JD from an accredited law school.
  • Licensed or eligible to practice law in Texas, Arizona, Missouri, or New York (as applicable) and in good standing.
  • 3-5 years of experience in corporate law, particularly in REITs or real estate transactions.
  • Excellent academic credentials.
  • Strong analytical skills and strategic thinking abilities.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Commitment to delivering exceptional client service.
  • Conscientious with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Highly motivated with a desire to advance in their legal career.

Skills:

  • Strong technical skills in corporate law and transactional matters.
  • Experience on the borrower/owner side preferred.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills for effective client and team communication.
