Job Overview: A leading law firm is seeking a dedicated Litigation Associate Attorney with a focus on employment litigation to join a dynamic legal team. This position offers the opportunity to engage in a wide variety of employment law matters, including litigation, compliance, and advisory services. The ideal candidate will have 1 to 5 years of relevant experience, a passion for advocacy, and strong analytical and writing skills.

Duties:

  • Represent clients in employment-related litigation, including discrimination, harassment, wrongful termination, and wage and hour claims.
  • Draft legal documents such as pleadings, briefs, motions, and other litigation materials.
  • Provide legal counsel and advice on employment law compliance and related issues.
  • Prepare and participate in hearings, depositions, and trials as needed.
  • Conduct legal research and stay updated on employment law developments and case law.
  • Manage multiple cases and ensure timely communication with clients regarding case developments.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys and provide support in more complex litigation matters.
  • Assist in drafting employment-related documents, including contracts, handbooks, and agreements.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the Iowa Bar or eligibility for waiver.
  • 1-5 years of experience in employment litigation or related legal field.
  • Strong knowledge of employment laws, regulations, and case law.
  • Exceptional legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple cases and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with clients and colleagues.
  • High level of professionalism, attention to detail, and a commitment to client service.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:
