A law firm specializing in construction law is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Construction Contracts Attorney. This role focuses exclusively on drafting, reviewing, and negotiating construction agreements. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of construction contracts and enjoy working in a process-driven, analytical environment. The firm serves clients in the construction industry and provides high-stakes, high-dollar contract work, along with strategic guidance for successful project management.

Location:

  • Greenwood Village, CO

Duties:

  • Review, draft, and negotiate a wide variety of industry-specific contracts on behalf of clients.
  • Develop strategies to achieve client goals and ensure successful construction project outcomes.
  • Provide day-to-day legal advice and maintain communication with clients regarding project matters.
  • Support project teams throughout preconstruction and construction phases, helping resolve issues as they arise.
  • Conduct legal research and provide client guidance on various construction law topics.

Requirements:

  • 3-7 years of experience as an associate attorney, with preference for construction law experience or non-legal construction industry experience.
  • Must be admitted to practice law in Colorado, California, Arizona, or Oregon.
  • In-depth knowledge of various project delivery methods and construction contracts, including industry-standard forms such as AIA, DBIA, and ConsensusDocs.
  • Familiarity with traditional design-bid-build, CM agent, CMAR, design-build, EPC, integrated project delivery, and PPP methods.
  • Strong interest in the construction industry and relevant legal topics.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Admission to the State Bar in Colorado, California, Arizona, or Oregon (required).

Skills:

  • Excellent writing skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong academic credentials and the ability to handle complex legal issues.
  • Ability to develop and implement strategies to meet client objectives in construction projects.
  • Strong communication skills to interact effectively with clients and project teams.
