Duties:

  • Handle healthcare transactional matters, including provider and health plan mergers and acquisitions, affiliations, joint venture transactions, and private equity deals.
  • Manage health industry contracting, state licensure, and corporate governance matters.
  • Provide regulatory guidance in areas such as fraud and abuse, state licensure, corporate practice of medicine/fee splitting rules, managed care, and health care antitrust.

Requirements:

  • Have 6 years of strong health care transactional experience, including mergers and acquisitions, private equity transactions, and joint ventures for healthcare stakeholders.
  • Strong interest in and enthusiasm for healthcare issues and trends.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail; excellent legal research and analytical skills.
  • Effective and efficient problem-solving capabilities, the ability to work independently and proactively, and the ability to develop creative solutions to meet client and team needs.
  • Bar membership in good standing in DC.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with health industry contracting, state licensure, and corporate governance.
  • Demonstrated regulatory experience in areas such as fraud and abuse, state licensure, corporate practice of medicine/fee splitting rules, managed care, and health care antitrust.

Education and Certifications:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Bar membership in good standing in Washington, DC.
