As a key member of the legal team, the Litigation Attorney will handle diverse and challenging cases while contributing to the firm’s growth and success.

Duties:

• Represent clients in court proceedings, settlement negotiations, and other legal matters.
• Perform in-depth legal research and analysis to support case preparation.
• Draft, review, and file legal documents such as pleadings, motions, contracts, and other relevant materials.
• Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and court officials.
• Keep abreast of evolving legal standards, procedures, and regulations.
• Manage multiple cases simultaneously while ensuring deadlines are met.
• Collaborate with the team to devise and implement effective legal strategies.
• Represent the firm at professional and legal events and forums.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
• Active membership in the Virginia State Bar.
• A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in litigation, with preference given to family law experience.
• Exceptional legal research, writing, and analytical capabilities.
• Strong oral advocacy, presentation, and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work independently and within a collaborative legal team.
• Proven organizational and time management abilities.
• Capacity to handle sensitive and confidential client information with the utmost discretion.
• Familiarity with Virginia state court procedures.

Education:

• J.D. from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Admitted to the Virginia State Bar.
