Job Overview:
A prestigious Boston-based law firm is seeking an experienced Criminal Litigation Associate to join its Criminal Defense and Government Investigations practice group. This position offers a unique opportunity to handle a variety of high-level state and federal investigations, criminal defense cases, and healthcare-related matters, including appearances before professional licensing boards and internal disciplinary hearings. The successful candidate will manage a busy criminal caseload, provide direct client contact, and have the opportunity to develop an active practice in both criminal defense and government investigations.

Location:

  • Boston, MA

Duties:

  • Manage a caseload focused on criminal defense and government investigations.

  • Represent clients in both state and federal investigations and criminal defense matters.

  • Handle healthcare-related cases, including appearances before licensing boards and disciplinary hearings.

  • Conduct legal research, drafting of motions, briefs, and other legal documents.

  • Regular court appearances and client meetings.

  • Collaborate with senior attorneys while working independently on certain aspects of cases.

  • Develop an active practice in criminal defense and government investigations.

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of relevant experience in criminal defense, government investigations, or related areas.

  • Substantial trial experience, including preparation and participation in hearings and trials.

  • Strong writing, research, and analytical skills.

  • Excellent client communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to manage a busy caseload and handle complex legal matters.

  • Demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.

  • Admitted to practice in Massachusetts.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Admitted to practice law in Massachusetts.

Skills:

  • Extensive trial experience in criminal and government investigation matters.
