Duties

• Analyze insurance policies and provide detailed coverage evaluations and recommendations

• Draft legal memoranda, coverage opinions, and related correspondence

• Prepare and review pleadings, discovery requests/responses, briefs, and motions

• Conduct in-depth legal research and prepare memoranda of law

• Attend depositions, hearings, mediations, and related court proceedings

• Collaborate with senior attorneys and clients to develop litigation strategies

• Manage case files and deadlines efficiently across complex litigation matters

Requirements

• 2 to 6 years of insurance coverage litigation experience

• Strong working knowledge of complex insurance claims, including primary, excess, and reinsurance policies

• Prior experience with bad faith litigation and/or bankruptcy matters is a plus

• Admitted to practice law in the State of Illinois

• Ability to thrive in a high-volume litigation environment

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

• Strong academic credentials preferred

Certifications

• Active license to practice law in Illinois (required)
