A law firm in Tampa, FL is seeking an Intellectual Property Litigation Associate Attorney with 2-5 years of experience in patent litigation. The ideal candidate will effectively manage day-to-day litigation tasks, including preparing court pleadings, discovery requests and responses, and motions. Strong communication skills, the ability to work independently, and experience with intellectual property litigation or prosecution are essential. Experience in Hatch-Waxman/ANDA litigation and a USPTO registration number or patent Bar eligibility are strongly preferred. Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage and handle day-to-day litigation tasks for intellectual property cases, with a focus on patent disputes.
  • Independently prepare and draft court pleadings, discovery requests and responses, and motions.
  • Communicate effectively with other lawyers, staff, and clients regarding case status and strategy.
  • Take and defend depositions as necessary, contributing to case preparation and development.
  • Develop and implement litigation strategies and case management plans.
  • Analyze legal issues related to patent litigation and intellectual property law.
  • Provide legal representation and advice throughout all phases of litigation, including pre-trial, trial, and post-trial.
  • Maintain organized case files and ensure compliance with legal procedures and deadlines.
  • Stay current with legal developments and trends in intellectual property law.

Requirements:

  • 2-5 years of experience in patent litigation.
  • Experience in Hatch-Waxman/ANDA litigation or other forms of intellectual property litigation or prosecution is a plus.
  • Excellent academic credentials and demonstrated written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong practical judgment and an entrepreneurial spirit.
  • Currently admitted to practice in Florida, Georgia, California, DC, New Jersey, or New York.
  • USPTO registration number or patent Bar eligibility strongly preferred.

Education:

  • JD degree from an accredited law school.
  • Strong academic record with evidence of academic excellence.

Certifications:

  • Admission to the Bar in Florida, Georgia, California, DC, New Jersey, or New York.
  • USPTO registration number or patent Bar eligibility strongly preferred.

Skills:
